Supplier-price audit
Compare the
right prices.
I built an on-demand report that turns Odoo supplier and purchase records into findings a purchasing team can review.
Matching records and measurement units comes first. Otherwise, a price difference can tell the wrong story.
Convert compatible units
before comparing the numbers.
The result
A finding with
a next step.
The report keeps the supplier price, normalized purchase price, difference and review action together.
Some rows suggest a price update. Others have missing purchase history or need manual research. Those distinctions stay visible instead of being forced into a single answer.
The report recommends review actions. It does not change supplier prices in Odoo.
The comparison
A number
is not enough.
I built the matching and comparison logic around the records behind each price, preserving supplier tiers and converting units only when they are compatible.
- Match the records
Resolve the product, supplier and relevant purchase history.
- Normalize the units
Keep the original price beside the converted value.
- Surface exceptions
Flag incompatible units, currencies and missing history for review.
The next run
Keep the report.
See what changed.
Repeated runs update one persistent workbook and retain recent dated snapshots. The next report can identify changes without losing the previous picture.
The demonstration compares two report runs. Its numbers describe the sample, not a production savings claim.
The implementation
Read. Reconcile.
Publish for review.

Manual by design
The audit starts on demand. It is a report people choose to run, rather than a continuous price synchronizer.
Traceable findings
Purchase-history links and source values help reviewers investigate an unexpected result.
Checked across repeated runs
The recorded checks cover repeat execution, compatible unit conversion and detection of report changes.
Clear write boundary
The workflow writes the report to Sheets. Purchasing staff remain responsible for any ERP price change.
Workflow screenshots are real. Report examples use fictional sample records, not confidential supplier prices or measured savings.
